Continued

 After a couple nights in Bishop (Sleeping in my car) and one celebration (of nothing) I went out to a very expensive restaurant to indulge in a glass of champagne, a fillet mignon steak, delicious gravy on mashed potatoes, asparagus and pureed carrots. A one time thing--$50+.

Today I shall go to the Lee Vining library and buy a book or two in their sale, attend a Ranger led talk about Mono Lake--part of the Great Basin--western end. The eastern end is the great salt lake, both losing water way too fast.

Time to go now, so I will keep in touch. All is well and wonderful. Blessings to all, Alia

    Good to indulge and enjoy yourself. I know it's $$ but unfortunately $50 is just a little pricey these days not crazy expensive. Lol

 Dear Voyage Followers, I am home in Florida and 3/4 unpacked and resettled, so I guess it is time to end this segment of my life's voyage; Coming home has it's challenges, but it is working, inch by inch. In some ways it is good to be back--in other ways, sad. I shall miss the journey, the friends old and new, and getting to know my relatives better. As beautiful and as wonderful this country is, the most special part of my trip was the personal connections, and the memories of each one. I can't really explain what was so special about the voyage, or why I am missing it so much. Back home, I am enjoying reconnecting with my friends here, (and all my doctors and other practitioners). I am healthy though often light-headed. I think I need structure--too much "nothing" in my life. I love reading and tending my little garden, but once I am settled I will need more.  At last I can write more--It has been a very long time!  I am now at Mackensie Bridge Oregon attending a Village Harmony singing camp for a week. The last week I spent in a campground near by, with trees over 100 feet tall--maybe even 150, since I paced one and got to where the tree had fallen across a road and was cut short at over 100 feet. It had the Mackensie river running through it, with most campers carrying kayaks and rafts--no one invited me to join them! I have realized that campgrounds are the most difficult because almost everyone is part of a couple, a family or close friends, so I miss my community more. When I drive or sleep in my car I do not feel so alone. Now I have many new friends, and received an offer to go to Washington State and have a free place to stay--maybe I will! The Pacific Ocean was beautiful, but cold for me, so I did not stay too long. I loved Crater Lake, where I took the trolley tour--a very good way to see it without driving!!! Then I had ...
