 Jan may send a way to respond to my blog, but meanwhile I love the phone calls and updates on your lives, however they come. I miss all of you, but I am a very happy wanderer.

My favorite town is Lee Vining, CA. Small, yet so much to do and see, with Mono Lake the center of life here. Los Angeles has drained water from here for years, but controls are now in place to save this unique place--not a National Park yet that I know of. Cold last night, close to 30 degrees.

I need a laundramat which they do not have!

My special interests are the rocks and fossils, craters and mountains and there are plenty of those all around.

I will be happy to be nearer sea level or lower--it's been 5,000-8,000' for a few weeks now. Mostly I feel tired and brain-weak (body-weak too).

I once stayed up all night wondering where the sun went..........Then it dawned on me.

    Jan's doesn't understand what Jan is supposed to do... ? But it does sound wise to get lower down! Maybe Harbin Hot Springs for a week of rest, yoga, hot tubs, community and general R&R!

    All of your adventures are so interesting. Glad to hear you are enjoying yourself and meeting nice people along the way. When ever I traveled the kindness, generosity, and helpfulness of strangers was amazing especially in any kind of crisis. It superceded everything that normally could separate people (politics, race, age,gender, economic status, etc).

 Dear Voyage Followers, I am home in Florida and 3/4 unpacked and resettled, so I guess it is time to end this segment of my life's voyage; Coming home has it's challenges, but it is working, inch by inch. In some ways it is good to be back--in other ways, sad. I shall miss the journey, the friends old and new, and getting to know my relatives better. As beautiful and as wonderful this country is, the most special part of my trip was the personal connections, and the memories of each one.  At last I can write more--It has been a very long time!  I am now at Mackensie Bridge Oregon attending a Village Harmony singing camp for a week. The last week I spent in a campground near by, with trees over 100 feet tall--maybe even 150, since I paced one and got to where the tree had fallen across a road and was cut short at over 100 feet. It had the Mackensie river running through it, with most campers carrying kayaks and rafts--no one invited me to join them! I have realized that campgrounds are the most difficult because almost everyone is part of a couple, a family or close friends, so I miss my community more. When I drive or sleep in my car I do not feel so alone. Now I have many new friends, and received an offer to go to Washington State and have a free place to stay--maybe I will! The Pacific Ocean was beautiful, but cold for me, so I did not stay too long. I loved Crater Lake, where I took the trolley tour--a very good way to see it without driving!!! Then I had ...
