Hello! I am in New York State, not too far from "home" in MA and VT. I am with my "sister" Jeannie in Accord; so happy to see her. 

I left my cousin Betsy after a couple of fun days with her, seeing her beautiful home filled with art/craft work, and a Noah's Ark with pairs of cute animals climbing up the ladder.

Before Betsy's, I travelled across New York with mild rain, and no more 100 degree days and nights in the 90s. 

The first night I was at a rest area and I believe I was on the edge or below a tornado--enough to shake, rattle and blow my car. A warning came over my phone to get to better shelter so I put on a jacket--it was raining and blowing--and went to the rest area building where I found about 8 other people all in the family rest room where we waited until the tornado warning was theoretically over, though wind and rain were still blowing, and I got to sleep (about midnight). The power went down and the rest area building closed, In the morning I saw only one big branch down. I forgot to look for the rocks which I fell on my car in the storm. Another adventure!!!

Soon I will figure out my next adventure--maybe VT for a couple of days before I go to MA. I guess a hurricane is headed to my area of Florida, so I will be learning more later. Mobile homes cannot get insurance, so if mine should be demolished, I would be starting all over. Well, we hope not, and if so, it will be another adventure.

    Way to go Alia! Made it back to the Northeast! Bravo! And survived a tornado! And maybe a hurricane too!

 Dear Voyage Followers, I am home in Florida and 3/4 unpacked and resettled, so I guess it is time to end this segment of my life's voyage; Coming home has it's challenges, but it is working, inch by inch. In some ways it is good to be back--in other ways, sad. I shall miss the journey, the friends old and new, and getting to know my relatives better. As beautiful and as wonderful this country is, the most special part of my trip was the personal connections, and the memories of each one.  At last I can write more--It has been a very long time!  I am now at Mackensie Bridge Oregon attending a Village Harmony singing camp for a week. The last week I spent in a campground near by, with trees over 100 feet tall--maybe even 150, since I paced one and got to where the tree had fallen across a road and was cut short at over 100 feet. It had the Mackensie river running through it, with most campers carrying kayaks and rafts--no one invited me to join them! I have realized that campgrounds are the most difficult because almost everyone is part of a couple, a family or close friends, so I miss my community more. When I drive or sleep in my car I do not feel so alone. Now I have many new friends, and received an offer to go to Washington State and have a free place to stay--maybe I will!
